This webinar, presented by founder of Réseau Éco-Sportif, Guillaume Proulx Goulet, will focus on its mission to enhance sustainability within Quebec's sports sector. It will cover the organization’s core objectives, such as promoting eco-responsibility in sports practices, and provide an overview of the écoresponsable event certification process, including the criteria and steps involved. Attendees will hear real-life testimonials from a certified federation and an event organizer, sharing their experiences with sustainable practices. The session will also preview upcoming projects and tools designed to support network members in implementing these practices. Finally, there will be a Q&A segment, followed by a summary of key takeaways and encouragement for continued engagement with Réseau Éco-Sportifs initiatives.

Education Sessions with OlympianS for Schoolchildren - Head to Head and Logics Academy

We have once again partnered with Head to Head and Logics Academy to provide a free, engaging lesson on sport and sustainability, designed for grades K-8. Register your class for this lesson, delivered by Canadian Olympians Oliver Scholfield and Marion Thénault, which covers the basics of sport and its environmental impacts. Your students will hear firsthand from Paris 2024 Olympians about their experiences with climate change while competing and why it's crucial to take action. Our goal is to empower students to start conversations and take meaningful steps to address climate change, both on and off the field. Introduction to Greening the Sport Sector in Canada for National Sport and Multi-Sport Organizations

The lunch and learn welcomes any NSO and MSO staff who are interested in learning more about how sports and sustainability come together towards a greener, more sustainable future for sports. The session, hosted by Olympian and founder of Racing to Zero, Oluseyi Smith, will introduce NSOs and MSOs to the process of greening the sport sector in Canada, including how your organization can take steps to becoming more environmentally sustainable. Case studies will be provided highlighting sport organizations which are taking the lead on environmentally-conscious action.

A plant-based lunch and refreshments will be provided at 11:30am.

Attendees will also hear from Olympians reflecting on the climate issues faced at Paris 2024. The summit will conclude with the Sustainability in Sport Film Festival, showcasing inspiring documentaries that highlight the importance of this global issue.
